Cadia Rehabilitation - Pike Creek

Cadia Rehabilitation Pike Creek is located at the former site of the Three Little Baker's Dinner Theatre in beautiful Pike Creek Valley. This nearly 60,000 square foot facility is among newest rehab center in Pike Creek and offers both in-patient and out-patient therapy programming. The Wilmington rehab center has 130 in-patient beds with its top floor dedicated exclusively to short-term rehabilitative care.   The Wilmington DE rehab center features a 3,000 Square Foot rehabilitation gym equipped with a Wii-Habilitation station, treadmill, stationary bikes, free weights, Activities of Daily living area and more.

The center, located off Route 7 Limestone Road, also offers a comprehensive respiratory program and dedicated complex respiratory unit. Cadia Rehabilitation Pike Creek offers the state of Delaware's only dedicated respiratory unit in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting. The premiere 36 bed sub-acute ventilator unit has been recognized as a recipient of a Quality Respiratory Care Recognition Certification from the American Association for Respiratory Care.

A dedicated team of Respiratory Therapists are on-site 24 hours/day to provide tracheotomy care, ventilator support, and treatments for breathing impairments. Staff encourages residents and families to set realistic, yet optimistic goals regarding rehabilitation. Respiratory Care Practitioners work closely with our medical team to establish a customized plan of care, emphasizing the best possible outcome, including weaning support. Weaning success stories include residents returning home to resume their lifestyles, residents returning home on home ventilators and residents transferring to non-vent nursing facilities closer to their family members.

The beautifully furnished unit offers scenic views and a limited number of private patient rooms. Every patient room is equipped with personal flat-screen TVs, private telephones and bed-side casework/custom cabinetry that houses respiratory equipment and oxygen lines. As a part of the construction of the facility, oxygen lines were run throughout key common areas including dining areas, lounges, shower rooms and the rehabilitation gym to allow for able complex respiratory patients to enjoy freedom of movement throughout the center. A variety of seasonal activities and group outings are available to all patients, including those in the Complex Respiratory unit. The quality physical environment combined with the comprehensive respiratory program offered at Cadia Pike Creek are unmatched in the region.

Cadia Rehabilitation Pike Creek is proud to have been recognized earlier this year as part of an elite group of respiratory care centers. Only 15% of centers across the county have the distinction of Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Cadia is honored to be a part of this elite group of care centers.
"Look at me go! I made the Wall of Fame after making it through my rehab program. With the help of the staff, I was able to return to home to assist in providing care to my mother. If it wasn’t for the team at Cadia, I never would have been able to do that so soon."
