Recognizing Caregiver Burnout

Caregiving often begins gradually, but physical and emotional exhaustion can set in over time. Signs of burnout include feeling overwhelmed or constantly worried, sleep disruption, weight changes, irritability toward your loved one, and loss of interest in activities you used to enjoy.

Caregiver burnout is common and not a sign of weakness. Seeking help is healthy and necessary.
